Lit fest returns

Once again we're proud to be media partner to Manchester Literature Festival

Shami Chakrabarti, Armistead Maupin and Rebecca Solnit are the first three headline events for this year Manchester Literature Festival.

Human rights campaigner Chakrabarti will talk about her new book Of Women, Maupin is in town to discuss his long-awaited memoir Logical Family and Solnit is in conversation with Jeanette Winterson about her new essay collection The Mother of All Questions: Further Feminisms.

MLF is on 6-22 Oct. Along with the announcement of the first headline events, MLF also said Manchester University would be sponsoring the festival as its new higher education partner.
