From our Liverpool office:

Letty has been working with the Liverpool office on a full-time placement since February 2012. She is a first year student with Edge Hill University and chose to come to the BIITN due to her interest in the homeless field.

Letty has blossomed in her time with us, taking on a full support worker role and managing her own caseload. Les, a popular long term vendor, and one of her caseload said:“I want to say a big thank you to Letty for all she has done for me. Letty has sorted out so many things for me. I will always be in her debt for all the things she has done. She is like the ‘Angel of the North’. I will miss Letty loads and hope she goes on to do better things and keeps in touch.”

Letty is sad that her placement is drawing to a close. She said that in her time with the office she has: “developed invaluable skills and knowledge that I will continue to use throughout my career as a social worker.” And she went on to say that: “The staff team have been extremely supportive and the vendors have kept me very busy, it has been a pleasure working here and I will sure miss everyone when I leave.”

Steve Doyle, advertising manager and social worker placement manager said that “Having a social work placement has proved to be a positive experience from our point of view and for the student. Letty has been a valued member of the team over the last five months and she will be sadly missed by both staff and vendors.”
