Memories of Christmas

Tell us about your Christmas Memories

Winter is drawing in and it’s time for us to start thinking about The Big Issue in The North Christmas Dinner. Every year we provide a full Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings for all of our vendors. This year we are appealing to you to donate towards these meals so that, as it gets colder and darker, our vendors can have one evening in the warmth enjoying the seasonal merriment.

In the run up to Christmas we have been sitting down with some of our vendors and asking them what Christmas means, how they have spent it in the past, how they will spend it this year, and how they hope to spend it in the future. We hope that, by bringing you these memories of past, present and future, you will donate money towards our Christmas Dinner Fund. Over the next few weeks we will be regularly updating this page with recollections from the men and women who sell our magazine. You can also leave your own memories of Christmas in our comments section or on twitter using the #xmasmemories hashtag. The Big Issue in The North wishes everyone a very merry Christmas.
