Here’s why we need your donations:

The Big Issue North Trust is a registered charity which provides services and support for vendors of Big Issue North. Through our contact with vendors who come in to buy the magazine, we are able to reach some of the hardest to engage people and help them access the support they need to move on in their lives. Some of the things we provide are:

•    Support work – to help vendors with all the issues they identify as important to them. This may include signposting and referrals to other services as well as one-to-one support sessions.

•    Health care – health is not a top priority for many vendors yet they are the people often with the most complex health problems. We support vendors to find a GP and dentist willing to take on a patient with no fixed abode.

•    ESOL classes – many of our vendors are migrants and have language barriers as an additional issue and we assist them to access ESOL classes.

•    Help and advice for a place to stay the night – we can help someone facing a night on the streets to find overnight accommodation.
