Plus: The Limehouse Golem

Hero image

Eat Locals stars a host of familiar British faces including Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Freema Agyeman (Dr Who), Ruth Jones (Gavin and Stacey), Annette Crosby (One Foot in the Grave) and a whole bunch of others. The vampire-based horror comedy channels other popular British horrors like Dog Soldiers and 28 Days Later while lampooning the food snobbery of late. While good for a few laughs it lacks something to really get your teeth into.

Bill Nighy smoothly leads Victorian murder mystery The Limehouse Golem. His elegance and charm as detective John Kildare light the way in this dark and twisty Ripper-like case. With style, atmosphere and substance, the pace is quick and the humour is dark.
