End Credits: The Nutcracker
and the Four Realms

Disney is at it again, OK, while not strictly a remake The Nutcracker and the Four Realms certainly has the look and feel of the company’s recent live action reimaginations. Plus there were Nutcracker segments in the classic Fantasia and some direct to DVD Mickey Mouse holiday special. While most will know of the ballet, recognise the Nutcracker dolls, and heard the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy before, the story may not be that familiar to everyone. As with most of the live Disney action reimaginations everything looks polished and whimsical. The hype surrounding this one seems to be lesser but that may help the movie. With no nostalgia for a classic animation to live up to, unlike Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella or the upcoming Aladdin, the movie can hopefully shine on its own.
