Two jobs, one goal

For an increasing number of people, a second job is the working norm. But, in the case of vendors who have found other forms of employment, their need to continue to sell The Big Issue is questioned.

    Why is it that are the majority of sellers along the A6 are shown as men? In those towns on Thursdays, it is usual in New Mills,Disley, Chapel en-le Frith, Whaley Bridge that the Big Issue sellers are dominated women. In Disley the woman travel to Disley by train in the morning. Their pitch is outside of the Co-op. They leave by train late afternoon. The women sellers who sell in New Mills, Whaley Bridge and Buxton work similarly - Summer and Winter! Buxton
